Impact did a large back yard renovation and some major land irrigation changes for us in 2014. If it wasn't for the grading work that they did we would have had major basement flooding in that freak rainstorm that affected so many Burlington homeowners. This letter is long overdue but I was looking at our front entrance and thinking how much we liked it and decided to write a letter to you and your company. I am in business as well and know how much I like to receive thanks from clients!

Gabe Ortisi designed and constructed a new front entry and steps at our home in Oakville. We were extremely pleased with the design and workmanship of Gabe and his crew. They were on time and on-budget and their work ethic exceeded our expectations. I knew Gabe’s work from a site where I was Director on the Board and we were very pleased with his work at that location as well.

I would not hesitate to recommend Impact Landscape Contractors to anyone looking for landscape design and construction. Gabe also followed up on the job after it was completed to see if everything was satisfactory and touched base the following year to see if I needed any advice or to have anything checked after the winter season.

I am happy to write this letter of recommendation for Impact Landscape Contractors. In August of 2010, Impact started a substantial amount of work for us at our current home with the creation of an incredibly stunning front yard landscape and rear landscape garden.  Impact exceeded our expectations working with a very complex site and following detail design drawings. The scope included clearing away site debris and grading of the front and rear yard spaces, the installation of retaining walls, natural stone paving for rear yard patios, natural stone walls for the front entrance, concrete sidewalks, cedar steps in the front and backyard spaces, cedar fences and arbors, and a lot of planting – perennials, shrubs, and trees. Their attention to detail in the planning, execution, and follow-up is commendable.

All this was done on time and on schedule by Gabe and his great crew who worked tirelessly in the middle of August 2010 – during one of the hottest summers.

I cannot begin to describe how thoroughly pleasing our front landscaping and backyard garden have become. All this was in large measure to the dedication of Gabe and his great crew with their extraordinary attention to quality and detail. Gabe made sure that we were absolutely satisfied before completing the work. Our neighbours were also happy with Gabe and crew and complemented us regularly on Gabe’s accommodating nature.

I would like to thank you for your excellent work, past and present.  Thanks to your skill at redoing our front garden we no longer have a problem with leaks in our basement. The garden looks great and is easily maintained (and no longer looks overgrown). We appreciate your time and efforts at lowering the garden to expose the weeping holes in the bricks and keeping the greenery that was possible to reuse, planting new greenery and plants, removing the large boulders that were no longer required, and for the large undertaking of removing our two very large “dead” birch trees and replacing the sod in the front lawn, all to our satisfaction. You should be very proud of your work…we are!

The wood and iron gate with the stone walkway couldn’t be more to our liking. The skill that the craftsmen from Impact Landscape put into completing the arbor and gate went beyond our expectations.
